n8n automation training for businesses is a 2-day intensive course after which participants independently build, test, and maintain workflows that automate business processes. Day 1: n8n fundamentals (self-hosted or cloud installation, nodes, connections, triggers, logic conditions, error handling), integrations with popular tools (Gmail, Slack, Google Sheets, Airtable, Notion). Day 2: advanced AI scenarios (GPT-4 in workflows, email classification, document generation), building automations based on the company's real processes, and production deployment. Participants leave with 2-3 working automations for their own company.

The Process

Pre-training: process analysis

One week before training participants complete a survey listing processes they want to automate. I select 2-3 best candidates as training case studies — you learn by solving your own problems.

Day 1: n8n Fundamentals

n8n installation (cloud or self-hosted on VPS), interface and concepts (nodes, connections, workflows), basic integrations (email, calendars, Slack, spreadsheets), error handling and testing. Each participant builds their first simple automation.

Day 2: Advanced workflows and AI

Webhook triggers, data transformations (Function node), AI integration (OpenAI/Anthropic node), building complex workflows with conditional logic. Each group of 2-3 people builds an automation for their own process.

Deployment and follow-up

Production environment configuration, monitoring and alerts, workflow documentation. Two weeks later a Q&A session (1h online) for questions that arise during independent deployment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is programming knowledge required to participate in the training?

No — n8n is a no-code/low-code tool. Logical thinking and basic familiarity with SaaS tools are helpful. For the advanced course (Function node, JavaScript in n8n) — basic JS knowledge helps but is not required.

Self-hosted or n8n Cloud — what do you recommend for learning?

For training I use n8n Cloud (free trial) to avoid installation issues. For production I recommend self-hosted on Hetzner VPS (€5-15/month) for cost control — and I teach that too.

How many processes can be automated after the training?

People trained typically build 1-3 automations per month independently. Complex enterprise integrations or workflows with advanced AI logic may still require external support — training prepares participants for 80% of SMB use cases.

Does the training cover Make (formerly Integromat) and Zapier?

I focus on n8n as the best capability-to-cost ratio for businesses. If the company already uses Zapier or Make and wants training on those tools — I can organise that as a separate course.
